I lead user experience research on engagement in Facebook Groups. I use qualitative and quantitative methods to study the cultural beliefs and practices of groups. My superpower is telling compelling stories around complicated organizational workflows. Prior to joining Facebook, I was a senior UX researcher at Google and then Microsoft working on social communication and social search products. I received my PhD in human-centered design and engineering at the University of Washington. I am based in Seattle.
