I’m a UX researcher on the Messenger team focusing on core aspects of the Messenger app and experience. I am a mixed-methods researcher, and equally enjoy digging into some good data or engaging 1-on-1 with people to understand their experiences and motivations in technological spaces. Before joining Facebook I was a postdoctoral scholar in health psychology at UC Merced, studying how adolescents and young adults use social resources to manage diabetes. I earned a PhD and MA in developmental psychology at UC Davis with a focus on young children’s healthy emotional development within the context of parent-child and peer relationships, and a BA in psychology at Reed College.
