Brief bio: I am a research scientist on the Computational Social Science (CSS) group at Facebook. I work on problems in the intersection of machine learning, data mining, and social network analysis. More specifically, on semi-supervised and supervised learning in networks, personalization and recommendation, information diffusion, link prediction, and structured learning. Prior to Facebook, I spent several years working at IBM TJ Watson Research Center, Yorktown Heights, NY in Business Analytics and Mathematical Sciences division.
I hold a PhD in Computer Science from University of Minnesota and a masters degree in computer science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I am co-inventor of 16 U.S. patents and have co-authored several publications in the top tier data mining and machine learning conferences and journals. You can find a more recent list of my publications in my personal website.
