I am a social psychologist on the UX Research team. Before joining Facebook I was an assistant professor of psychology at Kent State University as well as a postdoctoral fellow at UConn Health and a visiting assistant professor at Trinity College. I earned my PhD in psychology from the University of Minnesota, where I studied romantic relationships and health. Specifically my research focuses on how people in couples support one another in times of stress, the role that empathy plays in social support, and how close relationships can impact our health behaviors. My research has been presented at both national and international conferences and featured in media outlets such as Psychology Today, Marie Claire Magazine, and Fox News.
Social support, romantic relationships, health behaviors, empathy and empathic accuracy, and attachment.
