I am a mixed methods researcher leading growth research for WhatsApp. My research uses qualitative and quantitative research methods to inform WhatsApp’s growth strategy, product design, and marketing efforts. Prior to joining WhatsApp, I worked on the protect and care team at Facebook where my research broadly examined online safety, with a focus on online harassment and the needs of women and vulnerable groups in emerging markets.

I am a clinical and educational psychologist by training. I conducted my postdoctoral research at Yale University’s Department of Psychology. I received my PhD in educational and counseling psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and hold a masters degree in clinical psychology from the University of Pune, India.
