I am a cognitive psychologist on the User Experience Research team at Facebook. Before joining Facebook, I was a doctoral student at University of Illinois at Chicago and I worked for a start-up company called Fly Fleet, LLC. My academic research examined conceptual change in a computer game environment. Specifically, how differences in user motivation and cognitive ability affected game performance across divergent game play environments. In earlier work, I investigated the effects of meditation on problem solving, attention, and knowledge acquisition. My work has been presented regionally, nationally, and internationally.
