I am an economic research scientist at the Core Data Science Team since 2017. I enjoy improving on marketplaces and products by combining and building on the literature on statistical modelling, individual decision making theory and game theory. Prior to my current position, I helped develop easily implementable and broadly applicable statistical testing methods that would substantially shorten experiments at Facebook. I received my PhD in Economics from Stanford, where I worked on ride-sharing, sequential hypothesis testing and water-utility price design. I also co-founded a firm that provisions dynamic discounts for restaurants.
Industrial organization, econometrics, empirical market design, computational social science, causal inference, and applied econometrics.
