Andrew Newell

Research Scientist - Core Systems

I graduated with a PhD from Purdue University in 2014. Since then, I’ve worked at Facebook for the past 7 years. I’ve worked in the Facebook teams of newsfeed infrastructure, algorithmic optimization, and recently the Resource Allocation System (RAS) team. Most work has been centered around optimizing efficiency of large-scale backend infrastructure.
