Simon Marlow

Software Engineer

I am a Software Engineer at Facebook in London. I co-authored the the Glasgow Haskell Compiler and I’m the author of the book “Parallel and Concurrent Programming in Haskell”. During my career I have worked in research areas around functional programming, compilation, and runtime systems. At Facebook I developed Haxl, a Haskell-based domain-specific language that is used by the teams fighting abuse on Facebook, and I am currently working on Glean, a system to store and query information about source code at scale.
