I am a user experience researcher on the Identity team at Facebook. I study self-representation and self-expression as well as how people browse and discover other people online. Before joining Facebook, I was at Indiana University where I received my PhD in health informatics. My dissertation research focused on social support in rare disease and common chronic illness communities. I also have a Master of Science in Human Computer Interaction from Indiana University and a Bachelor of Commerce with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Calgary.
