Maria Lomeli

Software Engineer

I am part of the London Probability team working on the WES simulation framework. Before moving to industry, I was a postdoctoral researcher in Machine Learning, at the Machine Learning group, University of Cambridge. I obtained my PhD in Statistical Machine Learning from the Gatsby Unit, University College London in 2017. I have an MSc in Mathematical Sciences and a BSc in Actuarial Science from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México, respectively.

Machine learning and simulation frameworks, exact and approximate inference methods, Bayesian statistics, kernels for rankings data
