Dr. Ser Nam Lim is currently a research manager at Facebook. He has led and conducted research in computer vision for over a decade. His research interests in computer vision are currently focused on adversarial learning, transfer learning and intent recognition. He earned his PhD in computer vision at the University of Maryland in 2006 and has conducted research in computer vision at GE Research for a decade as lab manager and senior principal scientist before coming to Facebook. He has led efforts to apply computer vision to inspection, manufacturing, detection and tracking, video analytics, 3D reconstructions, image search, AutoML and others. Ser Nam currently has about 30 refereed publications in the field of computer vision.
