I am a mixed methods UX researcher working on the News Feed integrity research team. My research helps build a better News Feed product by investigating and understanding characteristics of high and low quality content in News Feed. I received a bachelors degree in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University (Axe ’em Jacks!) and a masters degree in applied cognitive psychology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Before joining Facebook, I founded a UX consultancy in Houston, TX, where I worked with startup companies to focus on building quality user experiences at scale. Prior to that, I researched patient engagement technologies at Houston Methodist Hospital and worked as a human factors researcher at Hewlett-Packard.
