Changil Kim

Research Scientist

I am a Research Scientist in the Computational Photography research group. Before joining Facebook, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and ETH Zurich in Switzerland. I received a PhD in Computer Science from ETH Zurich in collaboration with Disney Research.

My research interest spans a broad range of topics in computer graphics, computer vision, and machine learning, with a focus on computational photography, image-based rendering, 3D vision, and video processing. I received the Swiss National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship and the Sony Focused Research Award, and have credits in two Disney movies for the 3D reconstruction technique I developed during my PhD studies.
