I am a social psychologist on the User Experience Research team, and I primarily work on the Friend Sharing team studying how people connect with one another on Facebook through sharing. Before joining Facebook, I received my PhD in human development and family sciences from the University of Texas at Austin where my research was focused at better understanding couples’ romantic relationships, how couples interact with others (e.g., friends and family members), and how social relationships, social stress and social support influence physiological and physical health outcomes. I also taught psychology and statistics courses at Southwestern University and San Jose State University.
