As one of the (almost) originals, I joined Facebook back in 2004 as a user, and now have joined as an employee working as a quantitative user experience researcher on News Feed. I received my Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), an M.A. in General Psychology from New York University (NYU) and B.A.s in Communication and Psychology from the University of Southern California (USC). My academic research has focused primarily on understanding what factors predict why some relationships fail when others succeed over time, typically making use of advanced quantitative methods (i.e., multi-level modeling, social network analysis) to understand the role of internal psychological processes as well as external (social and environmental) forces that can affect marital quality and longevity across the early years of marriage.
