I am a behavioral scientist on the User Experience Research team at Facebook. Before joining Facebook, I was faculty at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN, in the section of Children’s Health Services Research. I completed my PhD in social psychology at Indiana University, Bloomington, and later a postdoctoral fellowship in health services research at the Indiana University School of Medicine. My prior work on parental decision making concerning their children’s health and wellness has been featured online in Wired and The Atlantic. My current research uses qualitative and quantitative methods to understand how people transfer and receive information through social networks. I’m passionate about conducting research to help to inform product design to meet people’s needs and preferences.
