I am a social scientist who has been working as a UX Researcher at Facebook since September 2014 and has been collaborating with Facebook on research projects since 2012. I earned my bachelors in Social Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and am expecting my Ph.D. in Media and Information Studies in Fall of 2016 from Michigan State University. My research interests revolve around online social interaction, information seeking, and the embedding of mobile phones in society. I employ both quantitate and qualitative methods in my research and have published in venues such as Computer-Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW), Human Factors in Computer Interaction (CHI), Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication (JCMC), and the Journal of Computers and Education (C and E). Outside of my time spent at work, I’m a huge house music enthusiast and can be found most weekends on the dance floors of SF. Looking forward to trying my hand at spinning soon.
