I’m the user researcher for Analytics for Apps, as well as the developers.facebook.com website. Prior to Facebook, I worked as a user researcher for nearly 7 years at Microsoft, and also tested software at a variety of Silicon Valley companies (living and dead, such as Apple, Netscape, Sun, and now-defunct startups such as Eazel and Flock. Outside of my research work, I’ve spent several years as a community organizer in Seattle, applying both UX practices and traditional grassroots organizing methods to help our city staff and elected officials adopt research-supported best practices for safe streets where everyone can walk and bike. I did my undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon (Information and Decision Systems), and my masters at the University of Washington (Human Centered Design and Engineering).
