Research Scientist

I joined Novi in May 2020. I’m interested in distributed algorithms and systems, and the intersection of theory and practical constraints, especially at the blockchain scale.

I got my PhD from MIT under the supervision of Prof. Nir Shavit, with a thesis centered around the algorithmic complexity of synchronization in various models of distributed computing. After graduation, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, where I focused on the complexity of agreement in asynchronous shared memory with Prof. Faith Ellen. In the last two years before joining Novi I gained practical R&D experience at an early stage start-up in the SysML field.
