Jonas Gehring

Research Engineer

I’m a research engineer at Facebook AI Research working on neural machine translation. I joined the team in 2016; prior to that, I worked as a software engineer on automatic speech recognition at Facebook. This is also the field I specialized in for my MS in 2012 at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. I received a bachelor’s degree from Freiburg University in 2009 with a thesis on fast and robust object detection for a real-time computer vision system. Throughout my studies, I worked as a software architect on medical image analysis and reconstruction.
