I am a data scientist at Facebook, with a main focus on scaling Facebook’s large-scale systems in a data-driven fashion. I enjoy bringing machine learning, applied statistics, and optimization models into these massive systems, making them more intelligent and more efficient.

I hold a PhD in applied mathematics and statistics from Stony Brook University (2017). In my PhD, I developed a set of graphical and machine learning algorithms for large-scale genomics data (cited > 470 times). I am a recipient of the President’s Award to Distinguished Doctoral Students, the Woo-Jong Kim Dissertation Award, and the Excellence in Research Award.
