I am a data scientist on the Infrastructure Strategy team at Facebook. I mainly focus on scaling Facebook’s infrastructure systems with data science methods. I enjoy bringing machine learning and graph theory into large scale systems, making them more intelligent and more efficient. I hold a PhD in applied mathematics and statistics from Stony Brook University (2017). In my PhD, I developed a set of graphical and machine learning algorithms for large-scale genomics data (cited > 250 times). I am a recipient of the President’s Award to Distinguished Doctoral Students, the Woo-Jong Kim Dissertation Award, and the Excellence in Research Award.
