I have a PhD in Information Science from the University of Washington, and I work with the Facebook Identity team. My research interests include understanding how new friends connect and share interests, and how people share information about their interests online.
My previous work focused on in-home health behavior, peer-to-peer connections among young adult cancer patients and survivors, and systems design to support quality of life and health care decisions for people living with chronic or serious illnesses. I am also a cancer survivor and advocate for inclusive technology research.
