I am the Director of Research for the Facebook Ads team. My team conducts research focused on inspiring new products and improving existing products for advertisers. Before joining Facebook, I led the Design and Research team at Groupon, the Mobile Design team and User Experience Research team at eBay. I’ve also led a Research team at Microsoft, and was a product designer at Adobe and a researcher at IBM. I received a PhD in Cognitive Psychology with a focus in Human Computer Interaction from New Mexico State University and an MA in Experimental Psychology. My dissertation focused on the use of metaphors in UI design to facilitate learning.
