I am the Director of Research for the Facebook Ads team. My team conducts research focused on inspiring new products and improving existing products for advertisers. Before joining Facebook, I led the Design and Research team at Groupon, the Mobile Design team and User Experience Research team at eBay. I’ve also led a research team at Microsoft, and was a product designer at Adobe and a researcher at IBM. I received a PhD in cognitive psychology with a focus in human computer interaction from New Mexico State University and an MA in experimental psychology. My dissertation focused on the use of metaphors in UI design to facilitate learning.
