I am a mixed-methods user experience researcher on the protect and care (PAC) team at Facebook. Prior to Facebook, I was an assistant professor at the University of Washington. I come to industry after an academic career that includes work in genetics, neuroimaging, smartphone survey delivery, and behavioral health interventions using wearable devices. Before that, I taught Shakespeare to inmates in Kentucky and served up delicious Japanese Izakaya in New York City. I love doing research to help shape products that solve interesting people problems.
