I’ve been a quantitative researcher on the UX Research Team at Facebook since March 2014. My current work at Facebook is focused on how people use their profiles for self-presentation, and on building tools and systems to support self-expression. Before Facebook I did work on eyetracking methods, human-computer interaction, and modeling learned technology behaviors in organizations – you may have seen my papers/workshops at CSCW or ICA. In addition to substantial ‘time served’ in the Media, Technology and Society Ph.D. program at Northwestern University, I have a M.A. in Communication Studies from Northwestern and a B.S. from Hamilton College.
