I’ve been a quantitative researcher on the UX research team at Facebook since March 2014. My current work at Facebook is focused on how people use their profiles for self-presentation, and on building tools and systems to support self-expression. Before Facebook I did work on eyetracking methods, human-computer interaction, and modeling learned technology behaviors in organizations. You may have seen my papers/workshops at CSCW or ICA. In addition to substantial “time served” in the Media, Technology and Society PhD program at Northwestern University, I have an MA in communication studies from Northwestern and a BS from Hamilton College.
