Sai Krishna Rallabandi is a second year PhD student at Language Technologies Institute, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) advised by Prof. Alan W Black. Prior to starting his PhD, Sai received two master’s degrees, one from CMU in 2018 and another from IIIT Hyderabad in 2016.

Sai is currently developing a framework referred to as ‘De-Entanglement’ aimed at isolation of relevant causal factors of variation in the data distribution. He is interested in exploring the applicability of De-Entanglement to various tasks such as unsupervised acoustic unit discovery from speech, flexible and expressive Text to Speech synthesis, acoustic search, and visual question answering.
