Internet Defense Prize

Since 2014, Facebook has sponsored the Internet Defense Prize, a program that awards researchers who are working towards making the internet more secure. The 2020 winners will be announced on Thursday, August 13 at 1:00 p.m. PST as part of the USENIX Security Symposium program.

New research award opportunity

We are pleased to announce a new research award opportunity for academic faculty at SOUPS 2020: the People’s Expectations & Experiences with Digital Privacy RFP. Following the Privacy Preserving Technologies (launched at CCS 2019) and Role of Applied Cryptography in a Privacy-Focused Advertising Ecosystem (launched at RWC 2020), this third opportunity is focused on solving UX privacy challenges.
